2000 Meters: A New Elevation in Tea Packaging Design

Revolutionizing Black Tea Packaging with High Altitude Inspiration

Discover the innovative packaging design of 2000 Meters, a new black tea brand from Yunnan, China, that takes inspiration from the high-altitude origins of its tea. Designed by Tiger Pan, this unique packaging concept has won the prestigious Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2020.

The 2000 Meters black tea brand hails from one of the best tea-growing districts in Yunnan, China. The brand's name and design inspiration come from the high-altitude origins of its tea. The higher the altitude, the slower the tea matures and sprouts, resulting in more protein and amino acid content. This unique characteristic is reflected in the brand's packaging design, which uses black and red as the main colors, with a touch of white, and features simple illustrations such as old trees, brushes, and jasmine.

2000 Meters' packaging design is divided into three different levels based on the tea's producing area, quality, and flavor. The octagon shape is a symbol of the whole series, with each level using different materials and techniques. The low-end level is packed with paper, the most widely used material, while iron cans are used for the middle and premium levels. A small red mountain at the top of the can signifies the high-altitude origin of the tea.

The packaging design for 2000 Meters was a challenge for Tiger Pan and his team. They had to convey not only the variety of black tea, such as jasmine black tea, old tree black tea, and Kongfu black tea, but also the concept of "high altitude area produces the best tea." The result is a design that communicates the brand concept and product information directly to consumers.

Despite each product belonging to different levels, the whole series of black tea packaging maintains a consistent brand concept. Different materials, sizes, and shapes in each series of packages show a statement of professionalism. The octagon shape, the core symbol of the series, makes the whole series look like a family. This unique design approach has earned 2000 Meters the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2020, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.

In conclusion, 2000 Meters is a perfect example of how design can reflect the unique characteristics and origins of a product. Its innovative packaging design not only communicates the high-altitude origins of its tea but also sets a new standard in the black tea packaging industry. With its unique design and clear brand concept, 2000 Meters is set to impress consumers and make a mark in the tea industry.
